I am a multi-media visual artist. My foundation is primarily in drawing and painting, but has expanded in recent years to encompass a variety of 3D techniques. Consistent across all mediums is my interest in the powerfully gentle and sensitive. I find it in the mundane, a place to rest between anticipation and definition. I find it in a still and lowered endoskeletal glare, soft-faced and hard-sighted. My aspiration is not to find a timid middle-ground between the hard and soft, the emotional and literal, the technical and raw, but to integrate both polarities with equal conviction.
Pearl Turowski is a multi-media fine artist from Portland, Oregon. She has been working with traditional 2D mediums since before she can remember, which have informed her expansion into 3D forms. She completed her first year of college at University of Oregon, where she studied Fine Arts and Psychology, before transferring to Parsons School of Design in search of greater artistic challenge, opportunity, and mentorship. She has been a working artist for the past five years producing work for private commissions and project-based collaborations including album art for Zinnia Dungjen, cover of Milwaukie High School yearbook, and web design art for Pistil Magazine. She is currently working towards a BFA in Fine Arts at Parsons School of Design as expected graduating class of 2028. Pearl’s work has been featured in Splendorporium Gallery (2023), NYU’s Rosenburg Gallery (2023), and University of Oregon’s Hayden Gallery (2025).
